Draft — pending counsel review. This is a starting draft for note2it, not legal advice. The version published at launch must be reviewed by counsel for Quebec Law 25 and GDPR compliance.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication details (a hashed password and/or your Google OAuth identifier). When you use the service we store the notes, folders, and AI-generated content you create, along with metadata such as creation time, last update, and the organization the content belongs to.

We log technical information needed to operate and secure the service: request timestamps, IP address, user agent, and a per-request identifier. Mutating actions are recorded in an append-only audit log retained for security and compliance review.

Why we collect it

To provide the note-taking and AI features you sign up for, keep your account secure, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information. AI features are processed on your behalf to generate summaries, restructure content, and answer questions about your notes.

Your rights

Under Quebec Law 25 and the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information, withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis, and request portability of your data. To exercise these rights, contact our privacy officer at privacy@vtorchia.com.

Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion to satisfy backup, security, and legal obligations. Audit-log entries are retained for the period required by our compliance program.
