Chat with your notes: introducing Page AI Chat

You've written the notes. The answer is in there — somewhere in this page, or one of the pages it links to. Finding it, summarizing it, or turning it into something new used to be your job.

Now you can just ask. Every page in note2it has an AI chat: click the sparkle button in the page header and ask anything about the page you're on. The assistant has read the page and the pages connected to it, so the answer comes from your notes — not from thin air.

It knows the page — and its connections

The chat doesn't just see the open page. It follows your [[wiki links]] in both directions: the pages this one references, and the pages that reference it. Ask "what were the action items?" on a meeting note, or "what do my notes say about this client?" and it draws on the whole neighborhood of connected pages.

That's the payoff of linking your notes: the more connected your pages are, the more your assistant knows when you ask.

A conversation per page, saved until you clear it

Each page keeps its own conversation. Close the panel, switch pages, sign out — when you come back to the page, your chat is right where you left it. Switching pages while the panel is open switches to that page's conversation.

It's your thread, private to you, and one click clears it whenever you want a fresh start.

Help with the writing, not just the reading

The chat is a working partner for the page. Ask it to summarize a long transcript, draft the next section, tighten what you wrote, or brainstorm on the page's topic. Ask it to translate the page — or just a part — into another language.

And it can act on the page when you ask it to: say "append a summary to the page" and the summary lands at the bottom as real, editable blocks. Say "highlight the part about the budget in red" and the exact passage lights up. Nine highlight colors, and every change works like something you typed — autosaved, and undoable with Ctrl+Z.

A notes assistant — on purpose, only that

Page AI Chat is deliberately scoped to your notes. It helps you find, write, translate, and organize what's on the page — it won't moonlight as a general-purpose chatbot, write your code, or wander off-topic. If a request isn't about your notes, it says so and points you back.

It also never edits on its own. Changes happen only when your message asks for one, they're applied through the editor exactly as if you'd typed them, and only the page's owner can apply them — on a page shared with you read-only, the chat answers but the page stays untouched.

Private by design, like everything else

Conversations are scoped to your account and strictly tenant-isolated. Questions are rate-limited and every request lands in the audit trail — never the content of what you asked or what it answered. Delete a page and its conversations go with it. We don't train models on your notes.
